How to Postpone Your Wedding – Top Stationery Tips
Right now there are so many of you facing the stark reality of having to postpone your wedding because of the impact of the coronavirus. I really feel for you, and rest assured that your suppliers feel the same way too, and will be doing their utmost to help you take the next steps towards re-scheduling your day.
Whilst there are already lots of fabulous tips out there to help you with this process, I wanted to share a few stationery tips that will ultimately help you save time, stress and money.
If you’ve sent out your invitations already and need to update your guests with a confirmed future date, your stationer may well be happy to revise the dates on your invitation artwork and send it across to you in digital format, so that you can email it to all your guests. This is a service that I have offered all my clients free of charge.
Need to send out a new, confirmed wedding date double quick? Feel free to download the image above (right click and download) and share it with your guests on Instagram, Facebook or via email and notify your guests about your new date and any change of details.

If you’ve already printed your On the day stationery, such as Order of Service, Table Plan and other signage, these can be easily rolled over to a future date. However, where you might have included a date, you might consider getting labels printed with the new date, which you can simply apply over the printed date on your Order of Service and signage. It might not always be the most seamless solution, but it will save you having to go for a reprint, and the cost and wastage associated with that.
Where you have already engaged a stationer and are already part way through the design process, please do get in touch with them as soon as you can, to discuss your thoughts and share any concerns about the timelines already agreed. Please do also listen to their concerns. We are all in unchartered territory and businesses will be just as nervous about the coming weeks and months as you are. After all, it is in all our interests to work together and get the best possible outcome.
