Christmas Wedding Stationery Ideas

Christmas Wedding Stationery Ideas | Flamboyant Invites

Your Surrey Wedding Magazine asked me to provide expert advice, to answer the following question about stationery ideas for a Christmas wedding:

“We’re having a Christmas wedding and would love to incorporate the time of year into our stationery. Do you have any ideas of how we could do this?”

My Top Stationery Tips

Winter is a wonderful time of the year to get married, and not just because of all the excitement and festivities on the run up to Christmas and the New Year! It is also a very romantic and atmospheric time of year too; think frosty nights, the warming scent of spice and fir trees, and cozying up in front of a roaring fireplace.

There are many ways to embrace the Winter season when setting the tone for your big day. You don’t have to feel tied to the bright red berries, Christmas tree, or holly theme either, if that’s not your vibe.  Instead, you could look to incorporate these festive feels in a more unique way, such as Wintry Blooms, or some modern greenery details. You might also think about introducing a touch of sparkle to your stationery, either through the use of pearlescent card and envelopes, or metallic foils – the options are truly endless!

Modern Greenery Wedding Stationery

Greenery is an enduring wedding theme, which works particularly well for Winter weddings. This design features the pale blue tones of Eucalyptus sprigs and other foliage, together with a modern font combination. It’s a versatile style which also lends itself well to signage and table stationery, and would be perfect for any country venue or barn.

Winter Blooms Menu

If you’re keen to acknowledge the Christmas feel, but without getting too festive, then you could consider incorporating the classic colours of Christmas into your stationery. This menu design features beautiful crimson and snow white watercolour winter roses, rosehips and foliage on a navy background, to present a festive three course menu.  Again, this design would lend itself beautifully to signage and other table stationery.

 Starry Skies Wedding Stationery

There’s something truly festive about stars, particularly if they bring a bit of sparkle too. Jazz up flat print and add a bit of shine by printing onto a pearlescent paper, or go for metallic foil elements to make your stationery really shine.

Fun Table Games

Christmas is definitely a time to have fun and playing table games is all part of the Christmas tradition! I had fun putting these origami Chatterboxes together, which doubled as place name and fun conversation starters in one! There are lots of imaginative ways to bring the festive cheer into your big day.
