Flamboyant Invites takes privacy very seriously. This policy sets out the privacy policy details of how Flamboyant Invites (herby referred to as ‘FI’) collects and processes your personal data through the use of our website: https://flamboyantinvites.com, including any information you may provide through our site when you purchase a product or service, sign up to our newsletter or take part in a prize draw or competition.

FI is committed to ensuring that your privacy is protected. Should we ask you to provide certain information by which you can be identified when using these websites, then you can be assured that it will only be used in accordance with this privacy statement.

FI may change this policy from time to time by updating this page. You should check this page from time to time to ensure that you are happy with any changes. This policy is effective from 25th May 2018. It is very important that the information we hold about you is accurate and up to date. What we collect

All data kept by FI will be specific to your wedding or design work. This data is protected by a password and only accessible by FI, and we may collect the following information:

  • Name, email address, shipping address, billing address, wedding details, guest lists and addresses
  • Other information relevant to a transaction.
  • Comments – when visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection. An anonymised string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

What we do with the information we gather

We require this information to complete and deliver your order, in particular:

    1. Internal record keeping.
    2. Follow ups and testimonial requests.
    3. We will keep samples of your designs on file for photographing, portfolio and marketing purposes. This includes using them on social media and our website, including them in sample packs and displaying them at wedding fairs and events. We will not use anything with your home address on. If you do not want us to use your samples for future marketing then please let us know. By agreeing to these terms and conditions you give your express permission for us to use your personal data provided for an indefinite period of time. If at any time you would like to be removed from our database of client information please email hello@flamboyantinvites.com and your details will be removed.

How long do we keep the information on file

Once complete your job will be archived, but your information may still be accessible on the job management/ accounts software for up to a year after the job completes. After a year your details will be permanently deleted. This includes any address, guest lists and wording for your stationer. Furthermore all emails will be deleted within a year of the final job completing. Invoices will be kept for 7 years as per tax regulations.

Security

FI  is committed to ensuring that your information is secure. In order to prevent unauthorised access or disclosure, we have put in place suitable physical and electronic safeguards.

Controlling your personal information

You may choose to restrict the collection or use of your personal information in the following ways:

  1. If you have previously agreed to us using your personal information for direct marketing purposes, you may change your mind at any time by following the ‘opt out’ instruction within any such email.
  2. We will not sell or distribute your personal information to third parties.
  3. You may request details of personal information which we hold about you under the Data Protection Act 1998.

How we use cookies

We use traffic log cookies to identify which pages are being used. This helps us analyse data about web page traffic and improve our website in order to tailor it to our customer needs. We only use this information for statistical analysis purposes and then the data is removed from the system.
