Summer Garden Wedding Inspiration

Summer is all about warm balmy days, long Summer evenings, beautiful florals and an abundance of foliage. It’s my favourite season and here I share some gorgeous Summer Garden Wedding Inspiration, full of the floral abundance of the season.
Johanna Pedrick Flowers was the creative spark behind this Summer Floral Romance styled shoot, which celebrates intimate and romantic outdoor ceremonies and garden weddings. Featuring a dreamy Summery colour palette, a profusion of gorgeous pastel florals with and bright pops of coral Peonies and a show-stopping floral moongate.
Set at a tranquil fishing lake in West Sussex, this photoshoot is all about doing things differently. It celebrates a beautiful modern laid-back style which embraces togetherness, alfresco sharing plates of delicious artisan food and fabulous wines, filled with fun, love, laughter and colour. It also beautifully illustrates how to make an impact with statement florals and stunning details.
Find beautiful inspiration for bridal fashion too, including gorgeous pastel Bridesmaid dresses from TH&TH and two stunning bridal gowns from Mirror Mirror London and Cherry Williams London, together with beautiful hair accessories by Victoria Fergusson Accessories. Our bride wore a modern two piece blush tulle skirt paired with a lace crop top for the ceremony and then surprised her guests later by changing into a timelessly elegant white wedding dress with an open back.
The bespoke stationery suite reflected the floral decadence of the shoot, incorporating a pale pastel pink watercolour monogram with delicate floral and watercolour splash details. This theme was carried throughout the entire suite, from the Save the Date, to the main invitation, vellum envelope liner and belly band, RSVP postcard, Menu and place cards.
The laid-back alfresco dining scene was set with a simple wooden table and chairs with cloth runner. Two floral installations at the head of the table welcome guests to the table – repurposed from the aisle flowers earlier on. Simple bud vases displaying beautiful blooms, give the table a natural and relaxed vibe, whilst allowing for easy conversation and the passing around of artisan sharing platters. The styling was all about bringing people together and creating an intimate and relaxed atmosphere, as if celebrating at home with friends and family.
The cake is simply decorated with colours that reflect the florals and is accompanied by a pretty little selection of patisseries.
Our bride exuded an effortlessly chic style – her hair and make up natural and relaxed. For the ceremony she wore her hair down in soft bouncy waves and then tied in a loose, low bun to stay cool…perhaps ready for some dancing…
Here’s to Summer garden weddings, unique style and an abundance of florals! It’s been wonderful to share this Summer wedding photoshoot with you, and the amazingly talented team behind it.
