Your save the date is a simple announcement that goes out to all your guests to let them know when your wedding dates is.

Although there really aren’t any strict rules on this, Save the Dates are typically sent out 6-8 months ahead of your date.  However, do bear in mind that if you’re planning a July/ August wedding, a destination wedding or your date falls on a bank holiday weekend, your guests may need more notice – in which case send out 9-12 month in advance. Also if you’re planning a short engagement, then you’ll have to get these out ASAP.
